FLAGS
and their meanings
Obviously, today/this week we will be talking about flags and their meanings. The first few things I'd like to do are give credit to websites/friends and state when which flags will be shared about. When? Today, the:-USA -Taiwan -Korean (South) flags will be shared. I have not planned what to do next. CreditsI am doing the USA flag because that's where I am right now... I am doing the Taiwan flag because all my relatives (besides my Grandfather) -that I know- are from there. I am doing the Korean flag because I have a special friend from 2 grade from there and a special friend I met just this year from there. All my info will be from Wikipedia and all the flag images (including the one above filled with more than one) are from Google Images .
United States of America
(capital: Washington D.C.)
History: There has actually been many different types of flags for the USA, but the one above is the current one. The current version was adopted in July 4, 1960. Symbolism/Design: -You can find the flag anywhere in the USA; on cars, on porches of homes, badges, and much, much more.
-The stars represent the 50 states and the 13 stripes (red & white) represent the 1st 13 colonies.
-The colors are red, white, and blue. (Hope you knew that!) Fun fact I learned today: White means peace. Whoo! White is everywhere on our flag!
When Used: The flag is used on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Presidents' Day, and Flag Day (phish but I never heard of that!).
Facts Schmacts:-This is NEVER allowed to touch the ground!Oooh this reminds me of a funny short story. So for church I had to hold up the flag, and then I held it with someone else. They told me to make it never touch the ground, but HE made it touch the ground 3 times!!! Hahaha...-It can be called the following:

Taiwan
(capital: Taipei)
History: This flag was adopted inn 1928 (date unknown). Lu Hao-tung and Sun Yat-sen designed it. -Phish- There's a bunch of other stuff but I really don't wanna write too much stuff!
Symbolism/Design -The twelve rays in the sun represent the twelve months and traditional Chinese hours. -The blue represents nationalism and liberty. -White represents democracy and equality. -Red represents people's livelihood and this other word I don't know the meaning to. :D
Facts Schmacts! -It may be called...
And that's that!

South Korea
(more known as Korea)
capital: Seoul
History: It was adopted in March 6, 1883. Hey! That's my friend's birthday! (not the same year 'course!) Uh that's it..
Symbolism/Color: Look at each corner carefully. Notice how the lines are not all the same. Now. I don't know which is which, but these lines mean: water, heaven, earth, fire.
Uhhhhhhh that's all I know for now!
